Benefit-sharing and technology transfer

EO 247 enumerates several provisions to promote the development of local capacity in science and technology, and to ensure the fair and equitable sharing of benefits arising from commercial uses of genetic resources with the indigenous community, local community, protected area or private landowner concerned.
