ABSTRACT

Two of the case basins studied in this book are international (transboundary) rivers: these are the Sesan River in South-East Asia, which flows from the Central Highlands of Vietnam into north-east Cambodia, and the Tagus River, which flows from Spain into Portugal. As was also noted in Chapter 6, while the Tungabhadra River in India is not an international river, but an interstate river, it also demonstrates some of the characteristics of a transboundary river.
