This chapter looks at the other main sources of emissions that occur in everyday life. It covers the energy used in your workplace and the greenhouse gases associatedwith what you buy. THE WORKPLACE
The air-conditioned modern office is a particularly energy-intensive place. Reliable averages aren’t available, but I have done a survey of the annual reports of large companies. This survey suggested the following approximate figures for energy use per employee (Table 11.1).
