Is it necessary to have many social indicators, one for each of the many aspects of social impact? The advantages of this approach centre on its ability to reflect the apparent diversity of social impacts caused by any one organization. However, the disadvantage is that comparison between organizations becomes far more complicated. So is it really necessary?
