ABSTRACT
In this chapter, we wish to provide an analysis of the variety of formulas for water services management existing in Europe, and try to explain why different countries chose their own paths and the way in which they did. We also attempt to show what these experiences reveal in terms of common perspectives, and possible challenges and even threats. Lastly, we propose to draw some insights on the situation of water services in developing countries.
