Successful implementation of an EMS relies on planned activities being carried out effectively and consistently according to set rules or procedures, by appropriately trained personnel. Careful control of implementation of operations is essential, particularly in situations where staff turnover is relatively high and continuity of management may be lacking – as in many forest organizations.
