ABSTRACT
The policy statement forms the basis of relationships between the forest organization and local communities, governments, buyers and other stakeholders. It lets stakeholders know what they can expect from the organization – and provides an opportunity for public discussion about operations. It should help build consensus and reduce conflicts about operations.
