ABSTRACT
Meade returned to the problem of inflation in his inaugural lecture as Professor of Political Economy in the University of Cambridge, which he gave on 4 March 1958. He also submitted the published version (Cambridge: Cambridge University Press, 1958) as his written evidence to the Radcliffe Committee on the Working of the Monetary System.
