ABSTRACT
This chapter shows that an extra investment in thermally optimizing a building can yield substantial added value for the owner and occupants. The higher first costs of construction are easily paid back within the building’s lifetime. Indeed, given the recent escalation in energy prices, the payback appears shorter than ever.
