ABSTRACT

Energizers themselves (5 to 21 below) do more than wake up. They are fun in their own right, and break ice and melt it. They can become part of the participatory culture of a workshop, training or course. In an extended training in Tanzania for a mix of academics, consultants, government staff and students of several nationalities the energizer games were later seen as a key factor in breaking down barriers and bringing the very different sorts of people together.
