ABSTRACT
In recent years, there has been a growing recog-
nition of the need to fit provision for water
supply and sanitation within a framework that
considers the needs and demands of all water-
using sectors and ecological processes. Doing so
is usually termed integrated water resources
management (IWRM) and this is usually done
within a water drainage basin unit.
