ABSTRACT
This chapter discusses passive cooling strategies that are appropriate for a warm continental climate, with case studies located in the Adelaide metropolitan area in South Australia. Although the focus is on passive cooling, it is important to note that passive heating must also be taken into account because Adelaide experiences cool winters: for eight months of the year, the monthly average temperature is below 20ºC.
