ABSTRACT
Ethics in journalism start from the moment a reporter asks their first question. From then on, everything a journalist does should be guided by their professional morality. This doesn't necessarily mean that there is only one standard that applies to all. Professional morality may vary depending on whom one is working for. The morality on the Sun may be different from the morality applied on the Guardian. Whether one is better than the other is for the individual to judge. That said, there are some basic standards laid down in the code of practice of the Press Complaints Commission (PCC) and the code of conduct of the National Union of Journalists (NUJ).
