ABSTRACT

As we mentioned previously, the Chinese dialectic of yin and yang considers that the origin or essence of the universe consists of two poles such as universality and individuality, subject and object, positive and negative, living and dead, male and female.. . . As we can see, the yin and the yang are interdependent but opposite to each other as well. Therefore, based on the idea of the yin and the yang, the dialectics of “unity and opposite” were gradually used to view the world-the natural world and human society-by the Chinese people. All their thought is oriented around the idea that everything is a part of a contradictory pair and that the world changes as a result of the regularity of these contradictions. As a certain result, the Chinese people gradually accepted the mode of thinking of “unity and opposite.”
