ABSTRACT
Sony Labou Tansi completed his studies at the École Normale Supérieure in Brazzaville, in the Republic of the Congo. He qualified as a French and English teacher, but after teaching for several years he worked at the Ministry for Scientific Research before devoting his time to writing and to the theater.
