ABSTRACT
PACHARÁN A sticky red liqueur, made by marinating sloe berries in anisette; it is a product of the NAVARRA region of Northern Spain. It became especially popular in the 1980s as a digestive and as a result, the regional government is currently supporting a planting programme for a domesticated sloe-tree with more fruit and fewer thorns.
