ABSTRACT
The projects are designed to be flexible enough for adaptation across a number of year groups. However, the learning objectives presented in the text for each are specific to the year group and, with regard to the National Literacy Strategy, the term in which they were originally taught. These can easily be modified. For example, if the project in Chapter 3 were to be taught to a Year 3 rather than a Year 1 class, then a quick glance at NLS guidance for Year 3, Term 3 will show the following teaching objectives as immediately relevant: T1, T2; T3; T4; T5; T10; T11; T12; T13.
