ABSTRACT

At the lecture—already referred to—given to leading members of the regional councils, when I stated that it was not unfeasible that at some time in the future the regions comprising only kibbutzim could set up ‘a commune of communes’, the chairman of the Sha’ar Hanegev regional council interjected, ‘We have a commune of communes already.’ In the discussion which ensued many of those present remarked: ‘Small wonder. You have a homogeneous region.’
