ABSTRACT
Desktop publishing (DTP) packages give you more flexibility when creating documents than word processors. When using the latter the text starts at the top of the page and moves down as you add more or hit the return key. You can, of course, add images, colour and borders but the positioning of these are largely governed by the block of writing. With a DTP you have much more flexibility about where everything sits on the page and how it all works together.
