ABSTRACT
Always remember who is boss when using technology - even when you are not sure what you are doing, it is still you who has the finger on the 'off' button! There are times when computers do inexplicable things - crashing, freezing, dialling up the Internet, refusing to obey elementary commands, lining up text in the wrong place and refusing to move it. The document you have spent half your life creating (well, a couple of hours anyway) suddenly disappears from the screen. Some of this is beyond our control and we just have to accept that these things happen, but a lot of the time we have more power than we think.
