ABSTRACT
It is quite possible that the lesson is based on the scheme of work developed by the QCA, as this provides a good benchmark for the curriculum. If it is not then the school needs to show that the work pupils are doing is just as challenging and rigorous and that the National Curriculum is being sufficiently well covered.
