ABSTRACT
Transitions imply change – change of class, change of year group, change of friends, change of school – which provoke alterations in expectations and responsibilities. It is important to remember that any change – any transition – will be potentially more difficult and demanding for the child with ABI than for other children and may provoke additional problems. However, the most common transition times when particular difficulties emerge are school transfers.
