Dympna Meikleham is a learning assistant at Harberton Special School, South Belfast, and Roger Hancock is a lecturer at The Open University. In the account that follows they review the reasons behind the introduction of the ‘Enriched Curriculum’ in a group of schools in the Belfast area.
