ABSTRACT
In this chapter, we detail a two-part framework for identifying epistemological stances that can be used by researchers, theorists, and practitioners to examine either personal or theoretical outlooks on knowledge. The framework is a result of a study of central issues in major historical and current epistemological stances (Cunningham & Fitzgerald, 1996).
