ABSTRACT

Some pupils will not have made so much progress and will: Comment on similarities and differences between CINDY SHERMAN'S work and their own; represent themselves through observational drawing and digital photography; experiment with collage and mask-making techniques to move from two-dimensional to three-dimensional work; adapt and improve their work.

*(more able) Some pupils will have progressed further and will: Critically assess CINDY SHERMAN'S and others' ideas, methods and approaches and analyse their codes and conventions (e.g. Edward Hopper, Sherrie Levine); experiment with and select ideas, methods and approaches to use in their own work and interpret shape, form and space in two-and three-dimensional representation (observational work, digital photography, mask-making); explain how their understanding of 'identity', Sherman's and other's work has influenced their practice, making links with Postmodernist theory.
