ABSTRACT
Given the challenges that accurate interpretation of early communicative acts can pose to a child's communication partner it will be helpful to have a framework for the collation and sharing of information. Useful protocols are provided in Assessing Communication Together (Bradley 1991) and the 'Affective Communication Assessment' (ACA) (Coupe et ai. 1985), each of which were discussed in Chapter 7.
