ABSTRACT
Most children by the time they enter school have a well-developed understanding and use of language and their speech is almost completely intelligible. However, children with speech and language impairment can have very limited and/or an unusual understanding of language, of how words are put together to express ideas and feelings and can be completely unintelligible.
