ABSTRACT

Creativity has as much to do with what people know as with what people do. It requires the ability to solve problems progressively over time and apply previous knowledge to new situations. It must be developed through the interaction of the learner, their underlying goals and motivations, and the resources and context in which they operate. Our definition is relatively simple. Creativity is the application of knowledge and skills in new ways to achieve a valued goal. (Bentley 2000 p. 18)
