ABSTRACT

In December 1970 the annual conference for Dutch physics teachers was devoted to Harvard Project Physics. A few draft copies had circulated in the Netherlands and the lucky ones who could get hold of the materials reported to the conference about its flavour. The audience was excited about this approach to physics education, especially about its cultural and historic context, the readers and the practicals. It was felt that we needed such materials for our students to make physics as attractive as it could be in our view as teachers.
