ABSTRACT
The British Association of Teachers of the Deaf (BATOD) produced a document in 1996 entitled ‘Towards a national policy in the education of deaf children and young people’, which included among the educational entitlements considered essential ‘the entitlement to a broad, balanced and relevant curriculum. The entitlement to appropriate forms of assessment and accreditation’.
