ABSTRACT
For the IEP to work it needs to be monitored to ensure that the plan is being put into practice and is making use of the strategies and resources that have been identified in the IEP. The IEP states what is different or extra that is needed. This needs to be monitored by those involved. It is an ongoing dynamic process not a retrospective record of failure.
