ABSTRACT
This is a summary and concluding chapter, organized as follows. In section 9.1 we introduce readers to the background of the study, including the initiative and the aims and distinguishing characteristics of the study. Section 9.2 presents a summary of the results from the use of several performance methodologies. Sections 9.3 and 9.4 discuss performance index and efficiency and productivity trend analysis. Section 9.5 provides the policy implications of the results and briefly discusses the possible restructuring effects and efficiency implementation plan. This is followed in section 9.6 by concluding remarks about future studies of performance in the electricity industry.
