ABSTRACT

Anger is a normal healthy emotion and can be a response to the loss of loved ones or cherished objects. It is also a key emotion for survival: it energises us for fight or flight when we are threatened. As an emotion anger can be expressed positively or negatively. In school we are naturally concerned with its negative expression through verbal and aggressive behaviour. How can we support children who seem to be trapped by their anger? Their anger is making their lives and the lives of others unhappy.
