This book is about pov erty, and about one of its main causes – fin­an­cial­exclusion,­the in abil ity of many low-income people to build up their capital through access to fair-priced fin an cial ser vices. It asks why fin an cial exclusion occurs, and discusses what can be done to get rid of it in the con text of four British cities.
