ABSTRACT

Improving the day-to-day study skills of students with dyslexia can be the key to unlocking their potential. These study skills include organisation, note-taking, essay writing, reading, revision and exam techniques, and of course memory techniques. This chapter discusses the important role in developing these study skills that is played by partnerships, such as between the student and teacher, the student and their peers and the home-school links. It continues by considering each of the study skills in turn, providing specific information as to how these may be improved.
