ABSTRACT
The success of modern capitalism is the success of the market. The market indeed provides a very efficient mechanism for resource allocation, and, to the extent that it relies on the free choice of consumers, investors, entrepreneurs, and workers trying to maximize their self-interests, it works well with human nature. The market economy respects the autonomy of each decision maker and works far better than any planned economy known to date in bringing out the potential of workers and entrepreneurs.
