ABSTRACT
In this chapter we will be introducing the basic concepts of one observa - tional framework widely used in movement study, namely, Laban Move - ment Analysis (LMA). Granted this is by no means the only available framework for facilitation of movement understanding, its comprehensive - ness, flexibility, and sound conceptual basis make the Laban system a preferred choice. Likewise, in terms of the number and range of applica - tions, it has been rather peerless.
