ABSTRACT
Here and there in the preceding chapters reference is made to the conscious processes which accompany various kinds of activity. A child who is learning to write and is diffuse in his movements is described as confused, as having a type of experience wholly different from that of the individual who is master of the art, is fully satisfied with his writing, and is no longer inclined to try to improve.
