ABSTRACT

Michael White was the Director of the Adelaide Narrative erapy Centre in Adelaide, South Australia, which is a center for narrative therapy and community work. He originally trained in social work and family therapy, developing new and original ideas and practices out of dissatisfaction with many of ways of thinking and working traditionally found in those elds. He was the most prolic and inuential gure in the development of narrative therapy. Professor Karl Tom says about White, “As a therapist he was an applied deconstruction activist.” In his life, Michael liked swimming, biking, and ying the sport plane.
