ABSTRACT
This case focuses on the complex therapeutic management of a young graduate student with AIDS. The conflicts between patient and family involving sexual orientation are interwoven with the depression arising from a life-threatening illness. The therapist is called on to work creatively in a situation markedly different from the usual college health service scenario.
