ABSTRACT
What I will be aiming to do in the next two chapters is not to suggest a whole new way of teaching persuasive writing – although some of the approaches may possibly seem novel – but rather to show how professional writing techniques can be used to augment the very good work which is already being done in many schools, adding elements and structures that will hopefully give the children's writing more impact.
