ABSTRACT

In the previous chapter, we talked about the importance of giving all our significant characters well-rounded personalities, and now we’ll be showing the children why this is necessary as we deal with multiple Character Journeys. We will also learn more about how to structure writing. The Obstacles Structure was introduced right at the beginning as a way of getting children to think about how stories are put together, and now we’re going to build on that by introducing them to the classic 3-act structure, and also show pupils a way of giving a natural dramatic flow to their writing by following a template that I call the Seasons Structure.
