ABSTRACT
The purpose of this book is to provide an introduction to the economics of education. Chapters 1 to 6 deal principally with theoretical aspects such as the demand for education, rates of return to investment in education, and economic growth and education. Chapters 7 to 12 are mainly about economic aspects of various policy issues: educational planning, finance, manpower, and teacher supply and demand.
