ABSTRACT
We are close to rounding out our understanding of the drama of schooling as the schooling of drama. The drama of schooling involves scripts within scripts within scripts: academic scripts, bureaucratic scripts, personal scripts, social scripts; within those scripts there are ideological, aesthetic, cosmological, ethical and epistemological scripts. Often those scripts are confused with each other, or are substituted one for the other.
