ABSTRACT
Chapter 18 explains the LRFD method for analysis and design of glue-laminated lumber (glu-lams) using factors derived by the American Wood Council (AWC). The LRFD (Load Resistance Factor Design) Method uses load factors to create an ultimate or factored load that is the design load. It also uses Resistance Factors (ϕ).
