ABSTRACT
Jewish mothers, for more than fifty years, and Jewish princesses for the last decade, are well-known and pervasive stereotypes of Jewish women held by Jews, as well as by many other Americans. In combination, the two stereotypes provide opposing, if related, images of women who overwhelm men, respectively, by excessive nurturance or acquisitiveness.
