ABSTRACT
The Language on Film project grew, almost by chance,out of discussions between Routes into Languages East and Rachel Hawkes, Jane Driver and Leigh McClelland of CombertonVillage College, Cambridge.The discussions were actually about our Language from Film project, creating a cache of pre-and post-film materials for Key Stage Three.These are available from the Routes East website (see list of useful websites on the accompanying DVD).A film-making competition was mentioned and immediately agreed on.The teachers felt very strongly that it should include film-making training and
