ABSTRACT
This project, known as the Language Leader Award, was originally developed by Rachel Hawkes of Comberton Village College in Cambridge. It is a year-long programme designed to help students learn to lead,using language teaching as the medium.Throughout the year students are encouraged to develop their leadership skills and confidence whilst enhancing their language knowledge. It can be completed as a stand-alone award or it can be used as a platform for completing the Gold Award for Languages (see PartVII, Project 2).This section explains how the award works and provides answers to frequently asked questions.The additional materials on the accompanying DVD contain the Language Leader Award application form, log book details and a list of useful websites.
