ABSTRACT
One exciting aspect of making a pop-up is selecting how the story or subject is presented. What person/object is for the main pop-up, who/what for other pop-ups (if there are any) and what is to go on the ‘background’ area? To some extent the plot or text theme suggests what is to go where – what images are more important, what less so. This is the challenge as you embark on designing your own pop-up book!
