ABSTRACT
We really need to understand that they [police] are a different system and we [social workers in community agencies] are a different system. We need to mutually respect each other’s work, as we don’t do the same kind of stuff. There is a need to know the differences, the role division, and accept that we have a very different mentality, different policies … But we need to keep talking so that everyone can explain their own position and perhaps we can come to a compromise.
